Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, while speaking with journalists, strongly criticized the BJP. He stated that the recent Grand Alliance rally in Purnia was a historic success, as the entire grounds were packed with attendees. Although the opposition claims otherwise, Manjhi firmly believes that the rally was a triumph. He further highlighted that the BJP makes claims without any substantial evidence, as the promise of creating two crore jobs still remains unfulfilled, and inflation has surged.

When asked about Nitish Kumar's political future, Manjhi expressed that the BJP had closed its doors to Nitish, but he has not received any application from them. Moreover, he stated that the Grand Alliance is strong in Bihar, with the ability to win 40 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. As a result, they have no reason to ally with the BJP.

Manjhi also noted that the Grand Alliance rally in Purnia was a success, with all seven parties in Seemanchal uniting to defeat the BJP. He mentioned that Nitish Kumar had declared that the 2025 assembly elections would be led by Tejashwi Yadav. In response to the notion of making India a Hindu nation, Manjhi stated that India has citizens of all religions, and the idea of a Hindu nation is misguided.

When asked about Nitish Kumar's potential as a Prime Ministerial candidate, Manjhi acknowledged that Nitish had refused the offer, but possessed all the necessary qualities to become the Prime Minister. The Grand Alliance's primary objective is to unite opposition parties in Bihar and the country as a whole, with the goal of forming an opposition government in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and removing the BJP from power. At this point, it is unclear who the Prime Ministerial candidate will be.
